Marvelous Martian

Martian is so adorable and full of spunk!! She’s so tiny around 12 lbs and so friendly. She literally makes me laugh daily! She has lots of energy but knows when to settle down. She’s good with all the dogs she’s met, small and big. Crate trained and overall a sweetheart.

We rescued Martian in July out of the shelter when she needed our help! Martian has had a rough start to life. The medical team had brought her to my attention that she came to the shelter very sick with Parvo and was fighting for her life. Her skin was so bad and ears infected full of polyps and swollen shut. One is inflamed with an old hematoma. Thankfully they treated her Parvo and gave her a chance! Martian survived and needed out of the shelter after being kenneled for weeks in isolation. This is why you always make sure your dogs are up to date on their vaccines. At 3 years old Martian should have never gotten Parvo.

Martian got spayed, chipped, vaccinated, and cytopoint for her allergies. Started her on antibiotics and steroids for her ears. She has luxating patella in both her back knees that pop out of place so she will eventually need surgery. Because she’s a bulldog with an elongated soft palate she will also need palate corrective surgery to help with her breathing. Yes she’s a mess! We need help fundraising for this which is around 5k ! It’s outrageous, but it needs to be done. She’s going to have a long road of recovery and multiple vet visits. This is why we keep saying please stop breeding these dogs and stop supporting backyard breeders who are just ruining these dogs.

We need to be close enough for meets and a in person home check. Home owners only with a fully fenced in yard. Must have bulldog experience. We don’t adopt to first time owners.
