Little Sookie

​Cute little Frenchie Sookie needs forever home of a foster home! She’s ready for adoption so message us to fill out an application.

Sookie has been doing awesome since we rescued her out of shelter. She had came into the shelter as a stray with a messed up eye, skinny, malnourished, and had pyometra which is a horrible infection in her uterus. She had to have an emergency spay surgery to remove a 4 lb uterus! That’s huge for a little dog!! Thankfully she healed up perfectly in our care and looks great now. She will never again be abandoned again and not loved. I will never understand humans who are so evil and let this happen to their dogs and then end up dumping them. It’s a cruel world we live in!

Sookie went to our vet and had a full check up. Her staples were removed. We started her on daily eye meds to help with the high pressure and glaucoma. Her eye looks way better, but the vet already told us it’s highly likely she will need an eye enucleation which is a removal. Please donate towards her care and vetting! If we end up doing the surgery it’s going to cost a few thousand.

Until then we are looking for a foster home or adopter for Sookie! She is 2 years old, only 18 lbs, very friendly and sweet. She has the prettiest dark chocolate black coat. She’s been great with other dogs, small and big. She is crate trained. She’s a happy girl with lots of love to give! She is very playful but knows when to settle down. Sookie has a great spunky bulldog personality.

We are located in Sacramento and need to be close enough for meets and a in person home check. Home owners only with a fully fenced in yard. Bulldog experience is a must. Remember these are high maintenance dogs and need to be indoor dogs. They don’t do well in the heat or with too much physical activity.
